Mission Statement
Hutchinson County Historical Museum
The purpose of the Hutchinson County Historical Museum is to collect, to preserve and to interpret the heritage of Hutchinson County with particular emphasis on the oilfield and boomtown story of the 1920-1930 era.
The Hutchinson County Historical Museum collects, preserves and exhibits principally those artifacts, publications, archival materials, photographs, ephemera and other items that are relevant to the settlement, early history and development of Hutchinson County.
Friends of the Hutchinson County Historical Museum is a non-profit, self-governing organization dedicated to the enhancement and support of the Hutchinson County Historical Museum as directed by the Mission Statement.
The purpose of Friends of the Museum is to support and to promote the philosophy and goals of the Museum through its many project and programs. The Friends of the Museum works with the Hutchinson County Historical Commission and the Museum staff to preserve, protect, and present the history of Hutchinson County.
Friends of the Hutchinson County Historical Museum is a 501 c3 non-profit organization. Donations made to this organization are tax deductible.
